yes that is true i have seen on one occasion a link stating a 688 can dive to 760 meters but its crush is about 1600 or 1800 feet i not know much about the 688 or many american ships or subs all i know is they are very good and i take my hat off to them especialy the people who designed the arliegh burkes they are great ships
