Are you sure your game wasn't already patched to 1.4?
Usually though, if you're already patched to 1.4, it won't let you even try and re-patch. Another possibility-corrupted file from Filefront? If you're not already patched to 1.4, try getting the patch directly from ubi's website. That's the best I can come up with now. Welcome back!
