Help With Periscope Error

I have been playing Pacific Aces on my computer with Windows ME without any problems. I recently upgraded to Windows XP and now whenever I select the periscope screen I get the following error:

Error -2005532292 [(ddrval!=DD_OK)]
DirectX code: "DDERR_OUTOFVIDEOMEMORY"
\Projects\Ultimation\Janus2\Windows\Sources\BD3DEn g.cpp

I had the Kollmorgan periscope mod installed but edited the dsf file as per Darkstream's post so I could just go to the scope view. Like I said, everything was fine on ME, but with XP I get the above error. Thanks for any help.
