SH3 On Windows 7

Ive recently switched to a computer with windows 7, I used to love playing SH3 but now I get a compatibility error that pops up when I attempt to run the game. It says "This application can be launched with a release version of Microsoft windows 95/98/2000/xp only.
Ive tried running the program in compatibility mode in 2000, xp sp2, xp sp3, vista, everything.
Ive searched everywhere I can think of and Ive yet to solve the problem, ive ran a 1.4b patch but for some reason the installer says it patched it from 1.0 to 1.3. If anyone could help you would be my weekly hero

Please help, I just wanna play my game.
