New to SH3

Hi Guys,

New to Silent Hunter III, which I managed to pick up last week for a stonking £3/$5 from a local retailer.

After struggling with Hearts of Iron III and its messed up AI/Supply/Manpower "nuances" for the last few months I finally gave up last week and wanted to find something that I could invest my time in until it gets another update.

I had SH3 recommended to my by a fellow HOI fan so went on the look out for a copy.

When I got it home I loaded it up and was sceptical about just how good this game could be, especially after shelling out less than a fiver for it.

However, I found something that can only be described as brilliant, Stock SH3 is just so much damn fun...

After a couple of days of running a campaign I decided to come looking for mods and that's when I came across GWX 3.0.

GWX 3.0 takes a brilliant game and makes it a masterpiece, I remember when I first loaded up stock SH3 and was left wondering where all the other ships and ports were?

I can not congratulate the dev team enough for making something that was already great into something that is as close to perfect as you can get. Sure it has its odd little quirks, but doesn't every game.

After doing some reading through the forum I find it astonishing that people can sit there and moan about GWX - Especially when in all likelihood they obtained the Mod for FREE!

How can anyone moan at something that cost them zero!!

However I do have a noob question.

I have found that after every patrol my Deck gun is out of ammo.

I am running in career mode and its early Jan, 1940 - Running a type VIIB sub in the 2nd Flotilla out of Wilhelmshaven.

Now all of a sudden at the start of every patrol I have 0 Ammo.

Any ideas?
