Even in the SH Forum, sometimes you can read of people suggesting ways to enlarge the community of sub-simmers (that would have multiple obvious benefits for us).
I like to play BattleField 2 online quite regularly. In the SH forum i made a parallelism between BF and Dangerous Waters in a not-so-serious attempt to get some of them try DW. (DW meant as Naval Field as comparison to the existing and very successfull Battle Field). Going on with the comparison, i see this significant difference: In BF2, if I want to play i follow this procedure: 1. Log in to a central server with username/pw 2. Choose one of the servers where BF2 is running 3. Double click and I am into the action ![]() The procedure I have to follow if I want to play DW online: 1. Look for someone willing to play (Who?/How?/Where? ...) 2. Exchange the IP address and have someone put up a game room 3. Cross fingers and hope to have the same patch/mod and correct ports open and and and... ![]() All this, prevents me from playing anymore and i bet many others as well ![]() It would be (IMO) an enormous improvement to have a match-up system similar to BF2. If feasable, I could see to put at disposal a machine (if necessary) What do you think ???
