I'd shoot in colour then photoshop it later to see how it looked in black and white. Maybe add some fictional elements to add to the drama, maybe a puppy dog in his arms that already happened to be on the sure at the time thus having him go down as
"Brown!!! Sacrifices life for a dog - and no we don't mean his wife!!!"
