Default Most intense hunt.

Was on patrol last night, and had just finished patrolling assigned patrol grid when I pick up sound multiple contacts which turned out to be a 10 ship convoy with mostly medium/modern tankers and just 1 escort - jackpot I thought! So I went on a attack run, got past the escort and launched torps at two tankers, one goes down immediately and the other is crippled.
I then dived as the escort ship (a flower corvette) headed towards me.
Then began almost 2 hours (real time) of trying to evade this escort, and despite all my best efforts was onto me like a blood hound! Fortunately I took only minor damage from the numerous depth charge runs, but was still unable to evade, what was I to do?
So I took a rather dangerous course of action, as this could only end one way - me being sunk. So I blew ballast and shot to the surface within 300 meters of the Flower, this obviously surprised the crew on board, and allowed me to get my deck gun ready and was able to sink it - phew!
Unfortunatley for me, the convoy was long gone, but was unable to sink the crippled tanker I hit earlier.

Now I know this is not in the manual, but I thought what the hell, and pulled it off - just.
