More help with deck gun mods

First of all...apologies for my ignorance of computers etc.. I was hoping you guys might be able to help me install the bad weather guns mod, as I am having terrible problems,and confusing myself as to which files I should change :

I have put in a clean install..then patch 1.4, then where do I go ?
what files should I search for ? Is it the C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\Silent HunterIII\data\Submarine\NSS_Uboat7c.cfg (for the Type 7) is that the file I should change in order to be able to fire the flak and deck gun in heavier seas ? If it is, then this is a copy of what is showing in that file at the moment, when I open it :

PeriscopeDepth=12;meters
SnorkelDepth=10;meters
CrashDepth=70;meters
MaxDepth=300;meters
SurfaceDepth=7.8;meters
TorpLaunchMaxDepth=20;meters
StormConditions=99,1;max wind speed [m/s], max rain intensity [0,1]
I thought that the figure of 99,1 under StormConditions meant that I had done the deed..but when I try to assign crew to the gun I still get the "cannot man deck gun in bad weather" message...if someone could give me an idiots guide to how to do this I would really appreciate it ..as I seem to be ..erm..an idiot!!
Finally, can someone just advise me how to get rid of the annoying in-game music ..I like the interior of my sub to be quiet unless I deem it time for the Tipperary song!! :D ..thanks for any help..and I really do appreciate the help that everyone seems so keen to give on this forum.Thankyou.
