memory (read) error

i was in the middle of wreaking havoc on this huge convoy just off newfundland, had bagged a Brooklyn class cruiser and several good sized merchies

. the last ship i shot was a medium cargo. hit her prob in the hold with a mag torp. and the blew up in a spectacular fashion. lotta smoke since i have racerboys SH4 effects for SH3 lag and ah. so down scope to continue shadowing the convoy and reload the externals. but as soon as my scope goes under the waves i get an error msg saying something about a memory read error / memory error. not sure which one. any idea what is causing this??? lost about 40000GRT to this POS error
