Oh please, take the 1960's Star Trek and suppose for a moment that censorship wasn't a problem. You would have the same kind of experience Abrams is targeting with the new Star Trek.
I suppose Trekkies are as rabid fanboys as Galactica 1970 fans are. They will never be able to see a new reimagining of their favorite series just because it breaks their old fantasies. Hey its their loss after all. The rest of us will continue to enjoy new series, with new actors and new special effects.
So BRING IT ON.
