Let's Sink Sumptin' !

I'm rather fond of operating out of Brisbane and into the Solomons. It's a shorter distance to the action than Fremantle or Pearl.
The Taiyo class carriers were originally laid down as liners of the N.Y.K. line. They were converted while still in the stocks to escort carriers. Due to some inadequacies (no catapults or arrestor gear) they saw little action with the Japanese fleet. They were mostly used to ferry planes and train pilots. All three ships of this class were sunk by US submarines, so you're carrying on proud tradition. ![]()
