I have another question: I am receiving alot of radio transmissions from other U-boats. ie: "Convoy AM 3316 On course - East" How do I read this? Is it AM 33? Sorry, I was a solider not a sailor. I can give you a 10-digit land grid. Is this a 4-digit grid? ie: AM 3.1 x 3.6 ?
