Shocking stupidity
I just read that a US Congressman bragged to the US papers during the war that "the Japanese don't sink very many of our submarines because they set their depth charges too shallow"...and the papers actually printed what the idiot said.
Result= 10 subs and 800 men lost. He should have been charged with treason! I also didn't know that the Japanese had MAD gear. Not looking forward to 1944!
