Default Thinking of getting SH4

I,m going to buy a new rig and i,m gonna ask sh4 gold for christmas since its only 35 euro,s . After playing sh3 for and being somewhat let down by dangerous waters i think its time to put sh4 to the test. I,ve been wanting to buy it for quite a while but i didnt have enought ram but thats not gonna be a problem soon. So can you guys give me some feedback about sh4? whats it like? What are the best mods for it?

Its a good game quite worth the money.

There are more mods than you can imagine. Beauty is if you uses JSGME you can plug one in, try it, take it out, try another. Make your own decision.

There are quite a few differences from SH3 so you cant really 'compare' the two except for they are both submarine games. Each has its strong and weak points.

I have a good system but the video card is a problem for me. Nvidia 6150 will not handle it at high settings.

one of the major diffreences is how your crew is handled. no more shifting tired crew off watch and into their quarters. it's definitely worth getting . been away from it for a while meself, due to tech probs with it, but got it reinstalled again. i just gotta watch what mods i run cuz that's what caused the prob in the first place. something is totally incompatible with PE x.x

Real fleet boat and Trigger Maru are the two big mods for SH4, both have their strong and weak points and many members have played with one or the other. I personally prefer RFB, I'm a sucker for realism.
