Default [WIP] Yokosuma MXY-7 Ohka

Hello Captains,

iam working on this little plane :

Its similar working but i got some problems with her.

I defined the Ohka as an Flakgun and she flys down with 200 Knots from a shooting range of 1500 meters.
The problem is that the modell is still under the Betty after shooting cause she is defined as an Flakgun.

What must i change ?
Is there any modder out there for givin me help ?

Greets

MadMax

Personally id make it a bomb or a torpedo , as these are visible and can be dropped properly

yeah but I would classify the ohka as more a projectile rather than a bomb...

or could you have it be a homing bomb of sorts??? flying at 600 Knts or so??

Make her a flak gun, bomb, or rocket on an INVISIBLE PLANE.

Solved.

Yes, the Ohka was carried by G4Ms, but they were to be dropped FAR from the target, that's the whole idea. Over the horizon far. If the player in a sub is seeing one, it might be on a Betty, but it will NOT be attacking the sub. If it's seen attacking a ship, the Betty is over the horizon. It would also be at high alt. There is no possible way anyone except an intercepting fighter sees the betty/ohka combo as more than a speck.

The stand-off range was 20nm, and even that was considered too close for the bomber to have to carry it, so they built a follow-on version (few built) with 50nm range.

So Betty at maybe 30k feet, not much closer than 19-20 miles from the target.

Forget the Betty, no one will (or should) ever see it.

I agree with the invisible aircraft thing, especially since the Bettys that carried Ohkas were actually G4M2e planes and looked slightly different IIRC

Oh, and I'm pretty sure it's Yokosuka

Could the Ohka be a visible ROCKET, attached to an invisible plane? Not sure what max range for a rocket (like an HVAR) can be, but at some point the plane fires its one rocket, and you have the Ohka.
