How to edit Sergbuto's cameras mod?

Ladies and gentlemen!

I would like to know how to change the following at Sergbuto's "SB_cameras_mod_SH3": Get as high into the sky as the air crafts do in external view. Cause otherwise it's impossible to get screenies of them. I guess I have to edit the cameras.dat of this mod. But how? Which tool do I need to open this format? And which value has to be changed to what?

The stock SH3 and GWX "free roam" cameras do allow you to "fly" to the same altitude as passing aircraft to take screen shots.

Sometimes I've buzzed an airplane halfway back to its base just to admire the detail that was put into the model, right down to the crew visible through the cockpit glass.

I thought Sergbuto's free camera mod did not alter this.

You can also try asanovic7's Little Camera Mod. It works in a similar fashion to Sergbuto's but is based on the GWX 2.1 camera files and may allow you to take screenshots of the aircraft.

Should be no problem to take screenies of aicrafts the usual way with my cameras mod.

Thanks for confirming this, serg.

It's been a while since I last used your excellent camera mod and I was uncertain of my recollection but I was almost sure the free cam controls presented no problems in regards to chasing aircraft.

@thoomsn:

You sure you're using F12 for the free camera or just the external unit camera keys '<' and '>' ? The latter keys will allow you to view the outside of your u-boat but only within a small distance.

and thanx for your replies. I never tried making screenies using the F12 key but just by external view and the ">" keys. Using them doesn't allow me to go "up into the sky". So sorry for that mistake! I will try F12 now (as Sergbuto did I guess).

Yes I know - reading the README can be very helpful.
