Here is a little more info for ya. I continued my patrol tonight and this time I steered clear of Truk. Perhaps something that spawns in the lagoon is causing the CTD?
Thanks! .

I've conducted a number of test using two different computers, using the "stock" version of RSRDC + patches and the TMO version and I'm unable to recreate your CTD. Therefore based on the evidence at hand, your CTD is caused by one of the addition mods you have listed. |

Thanks Lurker. I guess we can rule RSRD out. I am going to look into PE4 to see if it is the culprit.

Question about Missions
Are the selections for missions random or is there something that determines what type of mission you get? So far I have done four careers from Pearl and am on my third in SubSoWestPac. I have never had any other mission than go, patrol, and sink ones.
Since RSRDC seems to like me and sends me to spots where lone merchant ships are in abundance, I tend to sink a lot of ships. Is this success the reason I always don't see any variety in missions? There is no way I could ever go back to the stock game after being hooked on RSRDC, it is way too much fun. |

I too had a full career in RSRD and never once did I encounter even a small convoy, loads of planes, some single ships, days without anything at all except planes. I took RSRD off, running a career on SH4 plus mods, and sinking ships a plenty when in convoy rich lanes. Planes reduced, thanks to reduced planes mod, strangely enough.

To kind of follow the Truk thread of action....I parked my self in the little deep channel west of Truk and east of the shoal water...got a 10000 Ton tanker...two Hog islands rolled through got too about 6000 yards from me and vanished. I think what is happening is that they are reaching their End of Run and vanishing....I am going to repositon to the south of the islands and see what happens....Plus there are three corvetted and a small dd that are very persistant lol.

Am I blind or has the RSRDC_AuxGB_Fix link been removed?
And am I right to assume that this fix will no longer be needed for the new version, which is compatible with RFB 152?

This is very possible We'll have to wait for a more definitive word, but my guess would be yes. |
