So where are we at in the presidential race?

The big issue of course is the battleground states. I guess if I had to make an opinion, we are at a virtual tie for the presidency at this point in time. I make that opinion based on fact. Here is where we were for Oct 24th between Bush and Kerry in 2004 for the Battleground states:

Battleground States: Bush Kerry
Republican States 56 34
Democratic States 36 53
Battleground States 43 49

Sounds familiar to today.

As for where things are at. Obama is ahead. Turns out the attack story was a lie and McCain's attacks are backfiring.

As long as almost everyone votes then Obama wins. Till then it aint over till its over so can we merge this?

Edit: Bush was leading all the way to election day. Kerry made gains but not enough to gain badly needed big states.
