Having grown up in my larval stage in California, I think you would be surprised at how many conservatives there are there.

There is much more to California than San Francisco and Hollywood.

I hate to say it, but I doubt my home state of California will be going Republican. I see more energy in the state right now, but the problem is getting these people to vote. Many Republicans in the state have given up politically. Maybe Prop. 8 will bring more out, but there are lots of lefties in LA and Frisco.....and unfortunately....they vote.

Particularly the "and unfortunately....they vote" part.

Sorry, But I've watched my Democrat legislature, voted in by these same people over and over again, turn this once great state into a welfare trap, illegal alien haven with all the benefits, higher and higher taxes from me, stupid and unnecessary overkill green initiatives and laws which have pushed businesses and other productive souls away, lunatics on the state courts who over-rule the people on direct democracy initiatives, and record state budget deficits with no end in sight. These people have ensured that the productive people get punished, while the lazy and unproductive get freebies. And they stupidly call that "fairness". Yes, these Democrats in my state have ruined the once Golden State from what I remember it to be in my youth when men like Reagan were running it with a sensible legislature to go along with it. I don't care what you think. They are allowed to vote. But my mindset is very clear on this matter. I do wish they would at least move to another state to suck off their systems, and take their bad policies with them. Your mindset is very telling to me as well.

They should move because you don't like it in California because of them?? Now that's as ridiculous as it gets. How about moving yourself?

No. It's just a wish. The tax base here cannot be strained anymore. And the stupid restrictions and fees are becoming very cumbersome. So yes, I wish those who continue to put these Dem in the state legislature would move from my home state. I will move if and when it becomes unbearable and opportuinity elsewhere permits. But I do expect common sense to intervene before then though as prices here are kind of forcing the issue. Not only that, but even some of the centrist Democrats here are getting sick of this crap. Perhaps they may change their opinions on the current situation here. One can hope.

Perhaps if you live in Frisco or LA. But not here near Sacramento. I'm not talking about the bulk of Liberals who can't see beyond the first dimension of thought. I'm talking about the centrist Democrat up here who has a family to raise, an education, a career, some property, is part of the tax base, and pays attention. There are quite a few of those where I reside.

But come on, it's not a real scandal of sorts to wish for less voters who continually vote opposite of your interests. I think everyone feels this way regardless of party affiliation. Looking at it this way is what I expect from the Dem point of view. I've come to expect it. Why it was brought up in this thread in the first place. Conjure up scandal where there is none in a sort of way to attempt a pathetic little smear. Same old song and dance. I'm no different other than I point it out. I simply don't care if that offends. It's the truth. I do hope for less of those voters in my state.

A lot of them went to Oregon and screwed that state up too. The party has morped into something that is really scary. I would recognize a democrat from the 60's even but this breed is more like a modified wierd form of socialism. The moon would be a good choic of habitat for them...

...as if today's "conservative", such as those that occupy the white house, are true conservatives....
:rotfl:

What a joke.
