I found myself patrolling near the Marshall Islands when my lookout shouted "Aircraft Spotted". I looked in vain for the "nearest visual contact" button and ended up crash diving just in time. I had no idea what bearing the bogie was on when he appeared because my crew saw fit to keep that information from me.
Any suggested course of action before I start handing out courts marshal?

Aircraft targets show up on the map with their bearing, but they aren't considered "lookable" targets as they were in SH3. Meaning you can't use , or . to switch to them automatically with the ext camera nor do they show up as visual targets you can ask for a bearing of that I've noticed.
Basically if I get a radar contact that isn't a ship, I crash dive. Better safe than sorry! But otherwise, check your map after the contact. |

I guess I have to play with map contact updates turned on then? Hmm, that's weird. I wonder if any of the fleet boat mods rectify this.

Although my lookouts do give a bearing. Not sure if thats mod related or not, dont think so. Maybe it has to do with the 'skill' level of the watch crew. |
