Needed : new skin for IJN Jyunsen B

Well that's that, the version 2.5 of my Jyunsen B, Kaichu and Kaidai 4 mod is complete, the next one will come along with Peabody's IJN campaign.

But as much as I like what I've done, I've never been really happy with my boats' skins..

Could anyone interrested make me a new skin for the Jyunsen B and the Kaidai too maybe ??

I would be eternally grateful, my skills don't extend that far, unfortunately.

i would be hazppy to help keltos...i have a .dds extrractor and everything, if you could please, however, show me where certain things go when you look at the skin, and ill have it done in a jiff

for just the Jyundsen though, idk about the kadai

I'd be most happy just with the Jyunsen B

if you look at the NSS_Jyunsen_B_O01_lr for instance, you can make a mask easily which will show you where the pieces are :




the cutout is pretty basic I know but I never got around to be able to do one like they used for the stock subs, can't just do it all can you ?!

as for the tower, although it's kindo ok to me, the tga is in the .dat itself, and has a pretty simple cutout as well.

It would be swell to have a new skin to go along with Peabody's coming IJN Campaign Mod..

well, i was prolly gonna screw around with the actual skin itself.
i can experiment, and sh4 doesnt take that long to load up so i have no problem experimenting
however, i downloaded one version of your mod (great work btw) and i noticed white streaks around the torpedo tubes, i looked in the image files and i found what must have been a test skin with white stripes all over, so ive been trying to figure out how that all fits together

was a test skin, but I removed the lines (most of them) from the dds, and I didn't look underwater....

does anyone have a good looking wood deck texture they could send me or post on filefront ? I need plancking that go along the long axis of the boat.

Check out some of the ships. The Maya I made playable has some planking and I'm sure a lot of others do too.

You don't need to download it, I didn't add it, wouldn't know how, it is right in the stock ship. I thinks it's the T01 file? I guess you would know that part. You may want to photoshop it, it looks like a polished gym floor.
