GWX 2.1 : Self-exploding ships without known assailant?
In my current Black Sea patrol in WaW3 using GWX 2.1, I have encountered three unescorted merchant ships heading for Tuapse as a single column. As I was submerged and preparing my data solution, however, I heard a boom and the "We've hit it" Das Boot soundbite indicating a hit... and I hadn't fired a single torpedo yet.
![]() I went to periscope to check, and indeed the last ship in the column was in flames, the other two maintaining their speed and course. I completed the interception and I could claim the other two ships as sunk, but not the third one. Is it a bug? Could they have been attacked by a plane or, even rarer, another submarine? ![]() ![]() ![]() |

happens often, also if a ship sinks in a storm, you'll sometimes get the sound

Either a Russian X-craft or BBW's rationale.
I'll go for the latter ![]() |
