Default Opening movie

Hi,
After installing TMO and RSRD original movie is gone.
How do I get it back?

Not sure about RSRD mod, but I know for a fact that the TMO mod supresses the intro movie. Might be burried in an .ini file but I'd contact the TMO modder and ask if there's a way to turn it back on.

The original intro movies, both the Ubisoft logo and the poem are in \Program files\Ubisoft\Silent Hunter 4 Wolves of the Pacific\Data\Movies\Intro. I thought that the mods just removed them, but thinking about it, I just wondered if you can fremove files with JSGME, or only overwrite?

I think you can only overwrite. So it probably changes the file that starts the movie. You could overwrite with a file containing no info but I would think that would generate an error message.

What exquisite torture. To have the carrot of knowledge dangled in front of one's face and not be able to grasp it. I had deciphered the 'JSGME' part, but had not thus far worked on the meaning of Help.txt. 'Hydrogenated Elephants Lack Protein?'. 'How Eric liked Priscilla?'. The meanings are in fact endless. I don't want to use the expression 'combinatorial explosion', but, you know, some have their limits.

Has Everyone Licked Pants? I don't know, it's just one of those combinatorial things.

You'll be saying next that releasing a mod implies that I have to marry your second cousin. (I'm not against that, if you send me some photos first). In fact, first dibs on your second cousin.

Well, I found the problem:
Quote:
MODDERS: You can remove files from the game by including in your package (empty) text files with -remove added to the filename (ie "filename.ext-remove"). Files will be returned when your mod is disabled.
It said "Modders:" and I didn't think I was suppose to read that part.

Wow, my vote for post of the year. I'm still cleaning up Cheesies and beer from the monitor.

I would give it another vote, just as soon as I figure out what a 'combinatorial explosion' is.:rotfl:.

Just had a look and that's a good tip, thanks for that Mikhayl, it might come in handy one day. I read the help file, but as it was only so I could get a mod installed and I didn't know how it worked. I was only paying attention to the bits that showed me how to make it work.

Back to the topic in hand, Mr. Bubbles, have you managed to get your movies back?
