Default Dadgum D key killed my crew

ARgh !!!

Why oh why is the D key right next to the S key.

After a sucessfull harbor attack we spun about and put some distance between us and the port... time to surface.... oops I hit D by mistake and before I know it the damage reports are flooding in (pun intended).

I am now headed to edit out that damn D key :rotfl:

Can't say I ever killed myself with the D key, but I have killed myself that way with the depth gauge. Damn thing can be deadly in shallow water!

"D" key at high TC is the official Ubi Death Key!

You would think that an alert dive officer would say something like:

"Beg pardon sir, but are you stupid captain, or what?..the depth here is only 40 feet..."

..before blindly carrying out the suicidal order...

They certainly don't mind taking you out of TC to remind you that: we're in shallow water ,every time your boats cross some small shoal.

You're right about that. I guess the same reason the semi-colon (for radar depth) is next to the "L" key in auto-targeting. I would change radar depth to the "R" key but then it would be next to the emergency surface "E" key; which really should be the "B" key (for blow ballast tanks) .... lol

Happy Hunting!

And then in the last version of TMO Ducimus changed the semicolon to go deep and implode your sub. I hit the semicolon at medium high TC and it was revenge of death key 2!
I still haven't forgiven Ducimus...

Do you know how many fish I've wasted hitting the Enter key on the number pad? It's below the + for TC. "Firing Tube 1!" - Oh for the love of mike what are you doing ?!?!? THERE ARENT ANY SHIPS WITHIN 20 MILES !!!!!

I\'m having trouble with the radar, sir.
What\'s wrong with it?
I\'ve lost the bleeps, I\'ve lost the sweeps, and I\'ve lost the creeps.

Thats the first thing I edit out regardless of mods. But I think everyone has done that at least once. Its espically fun if you do it while pulling into a friendly port.

Thankfully most mods edit it out as well. Choosing the enter key to fire torpedos which is immediatly adjacent the most often used key + was not a wise choice. :hmm:

Especially in home port and you hit a battleship, seems I can always pull off that one-in-a-million keel shot when I dont mean too.

You have no idea how glad I am that I am not the only one doing that! Unfortunately I have done the opposite (if you can call it that) as well.

I loaded TMO and went on a cruise. Silly me I run into a couple Destroyers. As per my normal I started running like crazy with the periscope up (I know, GREAT way to attract their attention). One Destroyer notices me and comes at me full steam. I get my bearing on him, wait to about 600 yards, and reach over and hit ENTER.

About here is where I should mention that I have not read word one of any of the directions or key chnges for TMO...

Needless to say I beat the ENTER key to death....the Destroyer ran over me (literally, I was still at periscope depth) and then dropped several charges on me, quickly ending my first TMO mission.
