Default GWX question for eye candy purposes

Hi

If I remember correctly in the GWX (or TGW, not sure really) 1.x versions the enemy crew used to blow up in the air when ever their ship was blowing up. But I don't see it in 2.1.

Is there any way I could reactivate the "flying crews" in combination with the life boat mod ?

This is purely for eye candy purposes of course

You mean something like this:

This is a screnshot from GWX 2.1, so they do blow up in 2.1.

OK...I might be blind but I didn't notice any. I thought there were more of them before...

Thanks for your time

Did you activate the 'GWX - Enhanced Damage Effects'? I don't know if that's what controls them, but maybe...

Could be indeed.

I've got GWX 2.1 but in combo with OLCS and so the GWX enhaced damage is disabled. Havent seen anyone flying yet (and believe me i've been watching the explosions, but havent been paying attention specificly to flying folks. )

Only see those guys floating so far but maybe they got there by air. I'll keep an eye out

Just FYI,

The "flying sailors" have been in GWX since the very first release of "The Grey Wolves Supermod" once referred to as "TGW."

They exist in both the default damage special effects in GWX and with the enhanced damage effects optional mod.

(They've been in there since the very beginning of our work about three years ago.)

And some of our crew are still quite high.

ill quote the manual for ya since you dont have one handy

ENHANCED DAMAGE EFFECTS

This option adds several effects intended to better simulate the effects on surface ships of hits by bombs, and torpedoes, including:

*oil slicks and trails
-large oil slicks and oil trails in the path of damages ships esxpecially tankers
-oil slick color is now less violet colored and closer to the real color of oil

*fired and explosions
-reduced some of the impact of fires on display FPS rates compared to stock SH3
-Corrected the stock SH3 bug with catastrophic aircraft explosions, small firesm and depth charge detonations
-more splinters in explosions with splinters and more explosions featuring splinters in general
-large secondary explosions
-improved fire and smoke effects
-more below water explosion effects and bubbles as ships sink

*sound effects
-all fires have sound effects
-you can hear fires in large damaged ships though the hydrophone in some conditions
-added and adjusted some new sounds for explosions

Note: these effects will not always appear since the effect depends on where you hit the target ship

I hit a tanker once and the oil slick caught fire along with the tanker. Although a frame killer, it was spectacular
