I'm heading out the door to my local GameStop store to pick it up. $29.99.

My friend said he got it and forgot to tell me.

We were at the local watering hole and I almost made him go open the store last nite.

Isnt the gold version simply SH4 plus the Uboat add on bundled?

Is there anything 'extra' ?

Buy it through SUBSIM.com on Amazon.com and help SUBSIM make some change?

The odd thing is on Amazon.com it says "In Stock August 13, 2008" but says the release date is August 11, 2008 (today).

Thats what they call in the industry 'padding' there just making sure that they actually recieve the units to ship before committing to a ship date /shrug

Ahh typical. When I've pre-ordered anything in the past I've received it on or BEFORE the release date. It's amazing.

It appears to me that there is nothing special included in SH4 Gold, other than it's a single DVD (nice) and it will include SH4 + a hard, physical copy of U-Boat Missions. Sounds like something great to have if you do a lot of installing and uninstalling. It's all on 1 disc....until a newer than v1.5 patch comes out.

Well, I'm sure you do, and actually I think it would be nice too; but I've been denied the chance to get 1.5 at every turn. I ordered it through EB two months ago, and my $19.95 price is locked in, so it should be shipping today or tomorrow, and I'm finally gonna have it!
