Default Port most recent mods and SH3 gameplay to SH4?

has this already been done? i thought about maybe we should use the sh4 engine...to get the nice graphic-effects for sh3! just the water and the enviroment is worth it!

lot of people here are keeping on modding sh3...but its more useful to mod with sh4 as a basic, isnt it? i mean after the addon with german boats has been released...

what do you think? sh3 with the look of sh4?...

:hmm:

Yup

Comes the evening and it's me popping a cold one and drinking to your health BBW! Heck, I really have to get a new computer because this POS machine of mine doesn't really like to run SH4 at all And not solely for the U-boats either - lots of interesting things happening with the fleet boats too nowadays...

S!

"The wait"(if by that one means the ability to conduct war in the atlantic) has actually been over since the release of lurker's excellent Operation Monsun, which presently includes the following ops:
-Type II Coastal operations ( Sept 39 to June 41 )
-Operation Paukenschlag ( Dec 41 to Oct 42 attack on US East Coast )
-30th Flotilla operations ( Oct 42 to Sept 44 )
-Operation Monsun ( July 43 to May 45 )
-11th Flotilla’s Type XXIII operations ( Jan 45 to May 45 )

Plenty of historical u-boat ops around the world with historical boats, and there's more to come with a full North Atlantic campaign in the next release.

nice to read...but is this really all? i mean, its a lot...but its not, what i asked. as i also asked, if cloning the existing sh3 mods for sh4...and other things is possible. simply: all the good work, that has been done for sh3 to use in sh4!

suggestions?

:hmm:

Importing of uboats and ships is easy and been done by many and some time ago

However most if not all are just SH3 conversions that work
SH4 uses different textures\lightmaps and the ships have an internal damage model as well as many other differences

None of the ported units I have seen have fixed that ( of course I havent seen everyone of them yet )

So yes its possible to play in the Atlantic with Lurkers great Op Monsoon as well as other areas but nothing I have seen " ported " uses the SH4 engine to its benefits or a full campaign as was in SH3
Thats the stuff that will take time

To a certain extent tis like playing in SH3 with SH4 enviroments

Still
Am sure will all be taken care of by someone or other soon enough

Atlantic sharks still working hard ?
Not seen anything of them for a while

nope, atlantiksharks are dead...or let me say "onhold". thats bad news, but its the way it is. i found no time to manage the project further and we found no one who wanted to take care of this position.
