Default WALL-E

I took my girls to see the new Pixar movie WALL-E. It is quite entertaining and I recommend it not just for the kids. It is a very fun move.

My two are 10 and 13. It is a good movie. There is not a lot of dialog with exception at the last quarter of the movie, yet Pixar is able to express and convey the story with sounds and movements of the robots. Pixar has done it so well in this movie, kids will know exactly what is going on without the dialog other then noises a robot might make. It is very clever and well done. The main charater, WALL-E is done well enough that you are endeared with his plight with in the first 15 minutes. One thing is certain, there will be WALL-E toys out the whazoo!!!

It is amazing the emotions that can be portrayed though pantomime. The fact that a mechanical character can portray these same emotions is amazing.

Yes, the short take with the magician, rabbit and the carrot he wants is a friggin hoot. The best part is when he is dragged up to the ceiling and then the rope breaks. Down comes the magician, piano and sandbags. The dobbler effect as he goes screaming by is hilarious.

It is a must see. I was surprised because I thought the theater would be filled with parents and their kids. For the most part it was. However, the young teenage crowd were also filing in to see the move. I recommend the movie Platapus, sure to please.

Saw it this afternoon, a wonderful movie to say the least. Very well done, one of Pixar's best IMO! The short "cartoon" feature proceeding the movie was every bit as good too!
