I just wanted to throw this out there, I dunno if anyone is working on one but, I think that if anyone ever comes out with an accurate 3d model for the Narwhal class, the model thats being used now would make a pretty good stand (minus the rear in for the Dolphin or Cachalot class boats that were used early war. From what I understand they were not very successful (I don't think Dolphin, Cachalot or Cuttlefish got a kill between the three of them) but still, they were there, and I think that other than re-arangeing the deckguns it would be pretty close (except the Chacalots were smaller than the fleet boats by about 25 feet or so).

Yes, nor the Cachalot or the Dolphin classes saw real combat IIRC, but still any new controllable US submarines will always be wellcomed to this sim
![]() ![]() For realism nitpickers they are good as training boats, for the rest they would be good for what-if patrols ![]() Quote:

I will put up a list of them if I can but as far as 3d modeling goes, they area just about all different. Narwhal and Nautilus were huge (might be able to get away with throwing Argonaut in with them) the dolphin was a shorter one off (319 feet compared to Narwhal's 371), and then you have the Cachalote and Cuttlefish which were even smaller at 27. The C class really has that fleet boat shape though but, just a good bit smaller. They had MAN Diesels too but were reengined before the war IIRC
