Its like a chat, cept its aimed at gamers, you can see what servers are running, whos playing on the servers etc.,

I use to have it but hardly ever used it.

I've had it too back then when I was in a group to find eachother easy in the servers they played.

but now I dont use/have it anymore

I use it as a server browser for a bunch of games - medal of honor SH, Americas Army, COD2 etc.
When I used to be in a SH gaming clan it was a good way of tracking members and what servers they're on. Still use it now, see some of my old clanmates occasionally online, good to catch up and chat. One feature I liked in Xfire was the ingame chat window - you could use xfire to communicate with your mates in different servers. It was good for arranging matches and things like that.

Used to use it a lot, especially for Call of Duty 2. Things didn't work out between my clanmates and myself, however, and that's when I quit.

Xfire was a handy utility, and I still have it on my PC, but I haven't used it in well over a year.
