SH3 and Vista
Am I seeing things ? Are UBISoft investigating SH3 to run properly on Vista ?
On the other hand is there a more recent production of SH3 to be obtained and where from chaps and chapesses ? I am familiar with Star Force prob.etc. but my very old SH3 Disc definately doesn't like Vista. Thanks for your time and trouble replying, very much appreciated....Dusty

I orderd a new copy of SH3 two months ago from an online software retailer for $9. It works fine on my Vista machine and I don't believe it has Starforce.

My install is from the original disc, which I pre-ordered before the release from Subsim. I did have to install a starforce update, downloaded from their web site.
It's been running fine on Vista both well before and since SP1. P.S. the simplest way to avoid issues with Vista's UAC, is just install anywhere BUT the default programs folder (mine is in a games directory in my user space). If you install to programs, UAC will mess up patches and mods since SH3 is not set up for Vista's virtual file system under UAC.
