It's been my experience that the SH4 Jap subs are merely static objects (intended only to sit dockside at ports) and therefore Unsinkable. I personally fired about six torps into one with no damage...well, maybe I bounced the aircraft off of it, as I recall. It's been a long time since I did that...but I don't recall any fire/smoke...as shown in your video. I also note that in your video, at least, the IJN Sub does not sink.

Hiya,
Ahh she sank alright, She was at my 11 and after going flatout starboard to gain distance i then started to sort a torpedo attack, It did a turn and what looked like a zig zag then i had to re-align setup etc, Then slammed 3 fish into her lol

I did the vid in 2 parts, Got a shock when the one above was 3.4gig in fraps form lol

Will post both 1 n 2 together later if i get chance

Ducimus said he made these rare, 1st i'd heard of them so was very pleased lol (hence these rare beasts are not docked, you must realise Mr ducimus is a cunning swine !! lol )

Will try n do 2nd vid after a film i wanna watch

Cheers

Ciao

Well, the consensus for a LONG time 'round these here parts is that the IJN submarines are not "real" sailing submarines...just objects. Not quite sure what you encountered.

Wow Defiance, That fish jumped out the water quite nicely on that first hit. Surprised how slowly it sank. Imagine that 3 torpedo hits like that would have split it clean in half.

Hiya Lt.Harper,

I run a NSM (natural sinking mechanics variant, hence nice slow sinkings)

Have Fun

latest addition to my amateur sh4 production - wake island reloaded series (still in progress). Using RFB 1.5, NSM, environmental 4.4, RSRD and etc. Simply gameplay videos (be sure to choose "watch in high quality")

Youtube has now gone widescreen, as well as high def. It seems to be quite good. Still not as good as some other websites about and not quite upto stage6's standard, but it's an improvement.

Default Dedicated to Our "Modders", who span the Oceans

Hope we will all appreciate the dedication our Modders have done to enhance this game.

I have dedicated my personal web site in their honor of Silent Hunter 4 and trust that from these video files , one can really appreciate the dynamic aspects, the talent, hours of graphic restructuring, some many have done to bring joy to so many of us around the globe.

I must confess that I am in the process of improving the web site as we speak but for the time being, "Let The Game Begin ".

In Memory of "Leo" ~ Thank you
