Default Quick Ship ID required, please.

So, this pair were stationed a couple kilometres off Esbjerg at anchor or something (2nd Sep '39).

The ship on the left, a danish tug, ID courtesy of the WO. The ship on the right unidentified -couldn't even get a lock on it at such a good range, in calm weather. Simply impossible to do so, for some reason.

My Kaleun thinks to himself 'Hm, they're waiting for something to come into Esbjerg, bows pointed directly towards the harbor -something big, perhaps, if it needs two tugs and it may be Polish or, better yet, an english opportunity, even though I have no idea what hindsight means on Sep 2nd 1939'. The WO, Herr Busch looked quizzically at him, but said nothing. He knows better than to distract the Kaleun at this time of the morning.

Question is, though, is this ship with the spotlights a tug? Whassit, if not? Why no lock?

Any help appreciated!

It's a lightship...they were scripted in as environmentals to keep them in position....hence no contact reports.

The tug is scripted alongside/nearby to allow your watch crew to report

A lightship, by God! Kaleun Hornblucher and Herr Busch express their thanks to you, Jimbuna.

As an aside, was there, or is there some mod on its way to mark clearly on the map whether one is in national or international waters? In this case, the boat is clearly inside Danish waters and therefore might possibly lead to a diplomatic issue if spotted -but if one is to roleplay SH3 to one's own personal satisfaction surely this would add to the immersion greatly, I think.

Is the marking of territorial waters even possible on the map?

Thanks.

Don't know about any Mod, but territorial waters are considered to be 12 nautical miles from the coast... this should be easy to mark on your map

besides if you're not actively being hostile too something I don't think the Danes will protest too loudly about your u-boat, even territorial waters are supposed to be free for peaceful passge to other nations, so if you don't attack an enemy in neutral water (which is very bad form indeed) you shouldn't have a problem..

As alluded to by KC.....not aware of any such mod and as for neutrals, they'll be no bother either unless you sink one....then every vessel of that nation will consider you a 'hostile' for the ensuing 24 hours.
