Default Carriers at War Matrix Games Edition

Anyone played it? Is it worth $60?

No feedback at all? Surely someone here has played it.

$60?!

I paid $39.99 for mine IIRC.

It's a great game, but lacks in replayability as there's only so many scenarios.

The good: Fog of War is excellent and often misleading, relatively easy to play, looks like multiplayer is tons of fun, AI isn't too predictable, can finish a game in an hour or two, and more action with less downtime than many wargames.

The bad: Not too many scenarios (though each has alternates), not very user created content friendly.

I played it for about 1 or 2 weeks then I became bored. The longtime motivation is almost not present for me, maybe it would be better if the game was not so focused on the carriers and if there was a kind of campaign.

That's called War in the Pacific. And it is an absolutely massive, complicated grand strategy game.

I played War in Russia which was a remake of Second Front. It was a detailed division level game of the Russian front. I still have the original Second front version that was made in the late 80's. WIR used to be free at Matrix. Not sure if they still have it tho. I never got around to playing WIP but did play the equally massive WIP board game with friends many years ago.

I don't understand what you are trying to say. Do you mean because the game is about the Pacific War there must not be a more long term campaign?
