Hello Kaleuns,

MadMax´s shipyard got an very modern Diesel powered Vessel under construction.
This ship is based on my NKGHAN Vessel and it is made for SH3 and you can also use this vessel in SH4 !
When iam ready with this unit you can chose between 2 Versions.

1.) SH3 Version

2,) SH4 Version

Here some pictures from the SH4 Version :

Do it like real Kaleuns did!

Looking at the pictures (And specifically at the cranes) I see 4 cargo bays. Make it an average 1500 GRT per bay, plus some extra 1000-1500 tons for superstructures and machinery, that is around 7000-7500 tons.

7500/53 (Factor for average ship proportions on cargo merchants) that is 141 metres length.

Average heigth per deck = 18 metres till top of superstructure, and some 35 to the top of the masts.

My educated guess for this ship would be:

140 metres length

7500 GRT

35 metres mast

Around 15-18 knots top speed

Am I much off the mark, Max?? :hmm:

If it's a "real guess" it's impressive Hitman !
Yes it is for real I just did what real Kaleuns did , although having experience as sailor (Like they had) and seeing a real ship of course would help refining the data. I suspected it would be around 140-150 metres long, the huge simplification of the formula I use for the "53" divider is of course not perfect, but seems close enough for a "fixed wire" speed measurement -again as it was done in real life-

Cheers

EDIT: Oh and I forgot to add: The ship shown in the real picture by AOTD_MadMax is much smaller. I count only three cargo bays, so again the formula would be 1500x2 + approx 1000 = 4000

4000/53= Roughly 75 metres

My guess for the ship in the pic would be then:

4000 tons

Bridge= 10 metres

Mast= 30 metres

75 metres length

15-17 knots

Hi,

i have reworked the ship a bit and the time for release is comming nearer.
I have changed the draft and the weapons and some small fixes.
The only thing that have to be tested is dammage-modell.
Three torpedos must bring this ship down.

Here some mesures :

Tonns : 7600
Lenght : 155
Draft : 7,5
Mast : 34

New Pictures :

I think with the lower draft this vessel looks better !
