AA guns range 1=600 ;[m] close range limit Originally it was 500, I set it to 600 as 500 is too small. When I spot enemy planes, I always order ahead flank, and face the incomming plane at 90'. Under these conditions, chance of a hit is negligible. If you don't face them at 90' or don't go faster than ~15kts, the chance of being damaged increases significantly. AA guns are set to fire at short range only, in order to not waste ammo. If there are multiple airplanes, I set guns to fire at inbound airplanes only. With these settings, even rookie AA crew will be very effective and 91 kills is possible. I found this tactics more efficient than ordering crash dive in IXD2, when sometimes the boat still got hit by bombs due to low speed. ![]() ![]() |
