Event camera doesnt work

I switch the event camera on in the realism settings by unticking the box. However in game the camera never comes on. When you look in the menu again the box has magically reticked itself!!! VERY annoying.

Is there anyway to switch it back on INGAME. Maybe in a settings file somewhere?

The main options menu works just fine ingame - when you play a single mission or a war patrol. If you want to change the option for career mode then you have to use the options menu that is accessible from your office while you're at port.

After you uncheck it, press the Apply button on right side of the screen (or the settings won't be saved).
