Sim.cfg->LostContactime=15
Has anyone seen any difference in how soon Escorts or ASW patrols give up looking for you?
I know at some point in one of the patchs, there was a code level change in how lost contact time is behind handled to where the number we see, is being manipulated in some formula based on type of encounter with the end result being the AI looking ALOT longer then we give him credit for, based on crew level and if hes escorting a convoy or not. (I think; i have the specifics saved somewhere, but cant recall right now) Point being, have there been any changes in how this works? Im hoping a dev peeks in to answer this one. I had a test run of a campaign file i've been working on, and i got away WAAAY to easy, so i;m wondering if the functionalty of this variable has been changed again. |

That was for 1.3 and 1.4, I believe. Ducimus is referring to 1.5.
I had an Australian destroyer pass within 600 meters of my Typ IX and he never even flinched. I was at 53 meters and running at silent running, but I still expected to be detected.
