This is a question about ethics……..I’m skipper of the SS Halibut and have recently been playing on manual targeting etc. I’m doing ok sunk a few ships and missed a lot more…So I get myself a battle flag courtesy of Digital Trucker…After about 6-7 missions I have 42000 tons plus of Jap shipping then disaster happens. I have to re-format my computer…….everything is lost with the exception of my battle flags and kills………Here’s the question. Is it ethical to start a new campaign with the Halibut using my last battle flag as displayed (42000 tons Kills)… with no patrol history???........ What would you do??

I'd start over from scratch, but that's just me; and I start over from scratch every time I load up a new mod. It really is just a game, and unless you're playing an on-line campaign there's no one keeping track except you.
On the other hand, the very fact that you'd ask this in public indicates that you have your own doubts. The bottom line is: do what makes you feel best.
