Default reboot required?

Ahoy,
I'm wondering if anyone here has encountered a problem or combination of drivers that presents the problem of having to restart wimdows everytime I wish to reload SH3? I'm currently juggling Nvidia drivers and dealing with tech support trying to find a combination that will help with stability. (currently running beta version of 169.28 downloaded from Nvidia). SH3 seems to rum stable (knocking on wood) with this and 169.21 but everytime I quit out of the game I have to hit the reset button on my machine in order to load the game again. If I try to restart from the start menu my machine just stalls forever and I finally just hit the reset button. Has anyone experienced this and if so is there a solution? I'm still struggling with updating my Asus m2n32slideluxe drivers and the soundmax audio drivers. (novice at this part ). In the meantime I lost my first boat in career mode yesterday after attempting to sneak into Scapa while conversing with my girlfriend. (huge mistake after 7 patrols) I will have to call it quits and start a new career knowing I botched it. Please send advice my way.
Thanks, B

Did you get a install\driver disc with your vid card ?

Try it.

I only use drivers that came with mobo and vid card and I don't have any problems with any of my games.

If it ain't broke don't fix it.

Installing beta versions of software is like asking for trouble. Pretty much being the developer's lab-rat. Very much 'not advised', especialy if you consider yourself a novice. Get the latest but official 'stable' release of the driver and try again.
