[REL]Combined Scene and atmosphere including 8 & 16k and GWX 2

Hi, This mod contains a set of files for enhancing the Scene & atmosphere for SH3, including:
Reflections.
Sky & cloud colours.
wave textures.
Atlantic sea colour on the surface as well as below.

There is green atlantic files for GWX 2 8k & 16k atmospheres, as well as a set suitable for stock & other supermods.
Just select the various version you would like, all are JSGME ready, simply copy to mods folder & enable, was better to do this way as there are quite a few choices to suit most peoples taste, be sure to see the readme's & Documentation folder for various options.
(For those who don't know the documentation folder does not have to be deleted, when enabling mod with mod enabler this does not get copied to SH3.)

THINGS TO NOTE:
Do not mix up the 8 & 16k versions of the various mods or you may end up with things like a black sky, select one and stick to it, the SH4 for SH3 mod is only available for 8k atmosphere version though! Also you can please yourself whether you use the Improved Wave Textures in GWX 2 as they have a similar version of this mod, I actually thought they were the same but after some comparing tests they are not!
Credits are included in the readme for the various mods however a personal thanks goes to Kpt. Lehmann & Onelifecrisis.

A quick run through the files:
A_Green_Atlantic_1_5.rar - Contains Stock & other supermods 8k and GWX2 8k & 16k.
Improved Wave Textures.rar - suits 8k & 16k.
SH4_Scene_for_SH3_8k_v2_5b.rar - for any supermod including GWX2 8K only though.

I have checked & tested these files atleast 3 times, and should be error free, however the 16k GWX2 green atlantic file has not been tested, if there are any problems please let me know.

Do you need to be in port to activate or can this be applied while in patrol? Beauty by the way.

beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeautiful stuff reece... gosh... the first picture looks almost unreal... much better then sh4... i've never been at sea, but if the sea looks like that, gosh... i wish i could...



your mods are a must have for me...

Reece, if I understand you correctly, I'm running GWX 2.0 that comes with improved waves and I am already using your Greener Atlantic mod; therefore, all I need to add is your SH4 Scene for SH3 8k mod from this combined mod pack? Is this assumption correct?

Well done Reece, and thanks also to GWX team for allowing it to be made compatible with their 16K scene file.

Its a shame that SH4 effects for SH3 does not exist for 16K scene dat file, anyone know why ?

If you adjust the settings even by "+1 or -1" so as to go from 8k to say 8.1k the sky goes black, have tried many ways to get around this but all have failed, gave up in the end!

Yes will run fine, there is an 8k GWX2 env file to chose from also, the mods not marked are modded stock and the other 2 are modded GWX2, so you can use the existing or try one of the others, to suit your taste, just don't mix up 8k & 16k mods.

That's a shame but thanks for trying all the same. I vaguely remember someone in the GWX team posting that the file offsets in the 16K version were modified, not too sure what this means as i'm not a modder, perhapps it makes sense to you ?

Of course I could be talking out of my stern...i'll see if I can find the original post.

Many thank´s for your great work Reece And of course my hat off for the GWX team

I fully understand you because there was a lot of work by many involved modders to get the SH3 scene.dat file to work properly in both day and nighttime for 16km vision
I can just see the effort to start this work all over again with the SH 4 scene.dat file
But still I hope it will be solved some day

Downloaded at 3.40 AM ...as first one.

Less reflective is my bet... just need one calm weekend to apply&test in "Giblartar" , "Artillery academy" and "Bismarck". Should be fine...
