Transfering between floatillas

What happens If I transfer to a differnet Flotilla.

I am currently operating with the 1st out of Kiel. Now that the 2nd is operating out of Lorient I want to transfer to the 2nd. I would like start a mission from Kiel and then have my return to Lorient.

If I transfer while in Kiel will I be transported (boat & all) to Lorient of will I remain in Keil and have to sail to Lorient myself?

When I transfered in the stock game it teleported me to France. In GWX you drive yourself. Even if you don't trasfer from one flotilla to another your base will change to one in France.
