Default Open Torpedo Tube

I have obviously missed something. Where is the "open torpedo tube" button/initiator. I have set up several times and missed because of lag time between initiating "Fire" and the torp finally exiting the boat!!!

With Trigger it is " Q ", there is a guide for the keyboard on your SH4 Disc, located I believe in the support folder.

He, he, look at me praising the SH4 Manual

Duh!!! "Read ALL the manual...not just the parts I want to" is great advice. Thanks for the help and prompt reply! I obviously played too many contact sports without a helmet!!!

In quick time I use 'W' to cycle torp tubes and 'Q' to open doors and 'ENTER' to fire. I'm getting old. Reflexes are slow.

I assume opening the tube door has no affect on your speed since there's no command to close it again.

One time I thought "I never closed the forward tubes! I must be waisting fuel!"

Hitting q on an open tube should close it.

I'm pretty sure it just said 'Tube opened!' again.

It's on the sh4 fold out key list. Q - Open/Close tube. Plus I used it on my last patrol.

I'll double check.

Maybe I should play with my reading glasses, too. :hmm:

Yep, Q open and closes selected tube. Try it you may like it. Just don't close it when torp is coming out or you'll be a right Rubber Ducky.:rotfl:

In the earlier versions, switching tubes closed the previous one. This no longer happens. However, diving below 99 feet closes all the tubes, as you're too deep to launch at that point.

would be cool to also have a key mapped to have torp flooded before opening the torpedo door.

I know I'm reviving an old thread here, but I've been wondering ... are there any indicators, ANYWHERE showing which tube doors are open? At this point, all you seem to have are communications from your crew, or I'm completely missing something...
