PS. There is another version of it too - the Not Rated version I see.
The copy protection is called 'SolidShield'.
http://www.solidshield.com/en

Also, IIRC, the US version is censored. The language the NPC's us can be abit harsh at times, like one told me "Your mother sucks dwarfs c*ck".

2nd also, the dialog has been shortened by ~20% on all other version but polish.
This place is saying both Tages and SolidShield -

Hmm. I wonder if it has both?

I've only heard of SolidShield. :hmm:

You bet it's out. Heard about it on the Elderscrolls forums.
Someone mentioned the music, and was very suprised to find it:
http://gamemusichall.net/music/The_Witcher/Witcher.php
Been playing it on the PC at work for a couple of weeks now, low volume in the background, great stuff.

and after I saw the intro on youtube......

.......I grabbed it as soon as it hit the store shelves.

I know what you mean, but if his point about the manual and amount of key strokes required to play is true then its really not my sort.

I have only just got my head around WoW and the keys I use on that.

Save RPGs for consoles, they can't give you far too many keys then

Trust me, I havent even opened the manual and learned everything during the first 2 hours. The tutorial tips & hints you get during the play explaing everything.

EDIT:

Here, check these 2 reviews. Gives you abit better view on it. The IGN review mentions load times & crash issues, but I think the review has been done pre 1.2 patch, as my load times are quick and have had no crashes on my ~20hr game.

Yahtzee, self admitedly has a strong dislike for most rpg games and mumorpuguhs in particular. So I would take that review with a large grain of salt.

Also I have to realy dissagree with you on console rpgs (I have a strong aversion to them).

Nah Rotary The Witcher is a good game trust me, as for the keys what dowly said, hell i never read the manual either the first chapter of the game is kinda like a tutorial that by the time you end Chapter 1 you would have worked everything out. Key wise.

But yeah i need to finish this game.

How come Neon? I love the accuracy you get with a mouse and keyboard but for speed in terms of actions and selection of weapons etc you can't beat a pad.

Most tend to be rather shallow RPG's, I also generaly dislike the Final Fantasy style ones as i tend to find them dull to irritating. I also don't much care for game pads.

I'm not a great fan of the linear ways of FF either. But an example of Oblivion shows that it is possible to give a great RGP to a console.

But, horses for courses and all that!

PS. Gamecopyworld is not a pirate site to by the way Neon. Read their disclaimer. They deal in traininers and no-cd executables. Copying games for the world (anyone for example) is not allowed nor tolerated and they refuse to post code to do so. If you don't have the orginal game for installation for example, you are screwed at this site. Figured I'd point that out, but I will also respect your wishes on the matter too.

Technically those no cd files is all you need to pirate a copy of a game, aside from getting the actual game from somewhere of course. Also guess who makes those no cd files (the pirate groups who release pirate copies)..

Though GCW is not a pirate site per say, A lot of pirates do use that site as a resource to either trade games with friends, or to get the no cd for the latest patch for their pirated copy.

Also its not my wishes per say but Neals, no cd links are a strict no no.

So anyhow no more GCW links or references plz

Back on semi topic, Oblivion is still far better on pc then console imho (could have been better still if they had actualy designed the UI for pc)
