Default SH3 Users...

I went to best buy today and treated myself to a Saitek Eclipse II illuminated USB keyboard.

I highly recommend it to all users of SH3/SH4. The keys are smooth quiet and there is a backlighting option to switch between red, blue and purple lights... also there is a dimmer reostat for increasing and decreasing the brightness.

Night attacks just got a lot easier!

Naw I like my logitech G15 V1 keyboard. Its one of the best built keyboard I've had in years. Trust me, mine survive my multiple accidents when I'm spilling beer or cokacola on it by being hunted and doing fast action key clicking during dept charges. You would figure I would learn not to put my drinks near the keyboard. I can't shake my bad habits. Need my beer close!

@ Wolfehunter, I'm with you all the way, it took me ages to track down a new G15 v1 with the blue keys, didn't like the orange keys, & it's great, the next best thing is the LCD Sireal App! and both correct with one thing, lit keys is a must for night attacks!

The best think about the G15 is being able to group a lot of essential SH3 keys close together for when they are needed. For example, I have my sonar report functions group and two rows.

Looks nice. Still, there is nothing, absolutely nothing that would make me abandon my Hackbrett. Over 20 years old and I am positive that no better keyboard will ever be manufactured...

Now i´m home.
Tested it out with some real patrolling.
It has some really nice backlighting. Purple, red or blue.
My vote goes to the red light. Very pleasent feeling for the eyes.
Nice feeling all over. Buttons and such.
It´s a little heavy.....wich is good. That means it´s expensive..

I´m pleased with this buy and can recommend it for anyone who wants some
backlighting under their buttons.

FIRST best coolest keyboard I ever owned was my IBM PCjr wireless keyboard. It used IR to work with a few batteries. Playing SpaceQuest I or Zork back in those days was a wonder. I hated the AT keyboard huge and bulky. With my wireless keyboard I could site back and go crazy :rotfl:

God those day where great.... Dos, Config and Autoexec files, bootup floppy disks. and 30m hardrives, 256k's of ram, with 4 to 16 colour graphics and 4bit sound card.

hehehehehe.

I`ve got the Saitek Gaming board with command pad, both blue backlite, more keys than you`ll ever need.

No, I would guess in Assembler for the most part. It may look like Basic but that might be due to the 320x200 resolution and 16 colors of the C-64 :-)

C-64 had all the cool stuff. Wish I coulda had one.

On topic: I still use real IBM keyboards, because nobody has managed to match the feel and durability yet. I keep an eye out for them at every flea market and thrift shop.
So what are you guys doing - playing in the dark?
