Default notice to all modders new and old

well the guys here mostly know this already so this is directed mainly at new and beginner modders:

please do yourself and the fellow members a favor and record a cd containing the lastest data file from the stock 1.4 patched version of the game. (or the version you are using)

everyone even the seasoned members screw up files occassionaly so having a backup copy of virgin files is a "first thing to do" before you attempt to mod the game.

we are glad to help anyone and everyone but if you have a backup to restore your files it will eliminate the need to post one of these threads: "help I need a file from stock 1.4"

good luck and good hunting to all

Ditto - I have backed up mostly just the Data folders since 1.2 after finding out that I needed the Taihosan Maru files from a previous install to prevent that old CTD that the Dev's have since fixed.

It's funny - I think I can delete all of those now because 1.5 is so stable and regain some HD space... lol
