[REQ] Unit Camera for Aircraft

As per the title, has anybody tried looking into adding the 'follow unit camera' for aircraft outside of the museum? Is this even possible?

I've already tried fiddling with Cameras.dat, but nothing I've done seems to do anything.

Then again my knowledge on these files is limited at best.

I do not think it has something to do with Cameras.dat.
