Default Is Ubi going to make any more patches ?

I was just curious if Ubi was going to make any more patches for SH III ever. I mean, we still have some bugs that need ironing out in there like the "plunge of death" if you save while submerged, the issue with the weather, and so on. Is Ubi washing their hands of SH III ?

No Wolf Packs bugs me. Thats a big part of the Atlantic battle thats absent from the devs at ubi.

Its only half a game ubi produced.

Think Ubi has dropped any more support for SH3.

So there will never be a "gold" version without Starforce or whatever it was called?

I bought SH III and had to uninstall it because it caused problems with my system.

I would buy it again if there were a new version with a copyright protection system other than Starforce.

We had a discussion about the release of SH3 the 'gold' edition a while back. It has it's controversies too.

There are a lot of bargain bin game discs out there which don't come with StarForce

You can purchase and download it from direct2drive for $20 and it doesn't have copy protection in it. Their first release of it did when i bought it a year ago, but they have since had it removed due to many complaints, including me.

This sim being the age it is, is most likely off ubisofts books now as far as support goes. Good thing for the GWX guys

Tool.

Good thing indeed. If Ubisoft released a new "patch" for SH3, we would NOT rewrite GWX to match... and would recommend the 1.4b patch for GWX users.

Simply too much work involved to reverse engineer things after all this time.

Besides. I think it is obvious that official support for SH3 is long over now.

even if they did it would still probably be behind on what has already been done by mods... though it would have been good to correct some problems that are hard coded..

When you make a save underwater sometimes when you go to resume instead of being at periscope death when you return you find yourself in a crash dive that only ends with your sub imploding.
