I have watched it for maybe ten times now (directors cut version) and still i feel like watching it every now and then, Never boring me

And yes, it makes you want to play sh3 right away

on amazon germany you can get the same version with english audio for 8.97€

That's actually the only version I've seen all the way through. Birthday present from the wife a few years back. I suppose she does know me pretty well, actually...

The best version is the uncut with photocards and stuff, I finally got one some time ago, for only 10 euro sending included.

It was a special edition, 'Columbia Classics Collection'.
The dvd-box actually looked like this:



The box is a special kind and looks really special.
but had the same stuff inside as in my first picture.
It might be a only available in some countries.

i watched this movie when i was 3 years old best movie of all time... I love the Captain, and number 2, you really get the feeling that they were all just young boys... cept the skipper of course...

Not sure about some of you but I can only watch Das Boot with the German soundtrack and not the English dubbing, I'm quite happy to watch it with the English subtitles. I have the mini series version and I always like to play it now and then, but after watching the first disc I have to fire up the PC and set out on a virtual patrol myself!
